When it comes to Bikepacking, especially during the winter months in Scotland, you need a pair of shoes that can do numerous jobs. They need to keep your feet warm, dry, be comfortable, practical to get on and off, and leave you with the ability to walk around camp, scramble over rocks, muddy fields, and not have you ice skating all over the local supermarket floor!
After looking around for a while I came across the Northwave Raptor Arctic GTX shoes. I got them in the sale on Wiggle and paid £110 for them. Best money I have spent in quite a long time!
If you have seen any of ‘My Bikepacking Year’ episodes then you will have seen that they have been well and truly tested in some very wet and some very cold conditions over the last few months.
If you haven’t seen any of the episodes then click here to check them out!
When it comes to buying shoes you can spend a lot of money so in order to help you on your way I have done a review of these great shoes so you can see the features, the style, and the practicality of them. If you have any questions pop a comment on the video and I’ll get back to you!
